The Superior Health Foundation is accepting applications for the fall funding cycle

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) — The Superior Health Foundation (SHF) announced that it will begin accepting grant applications for its fall 2022 funding round this week.

The application window will be open from June 1 to July 1, 2022, and approximately $150,000 is expected to be awarded in grants.

You can find full details on eligibility information and how to apply on the SHF website. The Superior Health Foundation Grants Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the SHF Board of Directors at its September meeting.

SHF hopes to award grants for health-focused projects or equipment purchases in UP

“At a time of great challenges felt on the Upper Peninsula, we are thrilled to be able to award invaluable grants to so many deserving nonprofits,” said Jim LaJoie, Executive Director of Superior Health. Foundation.

SHF’s mission is to help address unmet health care needs, health education and disease prevention and health promotion programs and research throughout UP, with the goal of improving the health of UP residents.
