The MTBO World Championships will begin in Sweden

We’ve already handed out medals at the WOC, EYOC, JWOC and WMOC over the past three weeks and now it’s time for the best mountain bike orienteers in the world to compete for medals at the World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships and at JWMTBOC in Sweden.

From July 15 to 20, five competitions await you in central Sweden: medium, relay, long, sprint and mass start.

The first two Middle and Relay competitions take place in the forests near Säter and feature relatively fast orienteering races on sandy trails, while the last three races take place in the more rugged terrain around Falun further north.

131 athletes from 25 countries have registered for WMTBOC and JWMTBOC will host 71 athletes from 18 countries.

As well as crowning world champions in five different disciplines, the four individual races are part of the CX 80 World Cup season. Current leaders Camilla Søgaard (DEN) and Simon Braendli (SUI) will be there to defend their lead .
