Reconnect with colleagues and nature at the Eco-Luxe Oasyhotel in Tuscany | CSQ

Remote work may be the new normal, but without in-person, face-to-face conversations, many of us feel disconnected from our colleagues. To remedy this, company retreats are making a comeback, offering opportunities to recreate ties and revitalize teams.

A Tuscan luxury hotel has devised an innovative way to combine executive enrichment with environmental responsibility: Oasyhotel offers a pristine location that combines business and pleasure through its corporate engagement programs and sophisticated hospitality.

More than high-end accommodation, Oasyhotel offers 16 secluded eco-lodges nestled on 1,000 hectares in Italy’s Oasi Dynamo nature reserve. In an ethically progressive partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), a leading global conservation organization, Oasi Dynamo created the Dynamo Foundation with the aim of promoting non-profit projects that represent forces of change for the communities concerned.

One of the main projects of the Dynamo Foundation, scheduled to launch in 2023, is the Dynamo Academy, a global approach to training and education where entrepreneurs and employees around the world can learn how to build a better culture of cooperation and inclusion with social and team building activities. A first of its kind, the academy is working with the Global Exchange of Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose to develop a new business ethic that helps all businesses be more aware of how their actions can have a positive impact. Participants benefit from experiences that cultivate vital, synergistic relationships with employees while simultaneously embracing harmony with nature.

Teams and individuals can select activities that best align with their desired collaborative goals, which can be as simple as leisurely walks among daytime wildlife followed by overnight stays in a luxury eco-lodge, or as challenging and hands-on as the educational orientation of the hotel. Classes to get out of their comfort zone and engage in learning new skills in nature. Leaving the roads and maps behind, participants learn to navigate the reserve with geoguides, then trek through the reserve to test their newly acquired expertise. This exercise requires exceptional communication and cooperation between partners to effectively find a solution or, in this case, successfully navigate uncharted territory, revealing and honing leadership and teamwork skills.

Other bonding opportunities include exploring the nature reserve’s unique flora, fauna and agricultural elements through guided hikes, Tuscan safaris, bike tours, nature workshops and guided farm tours to learn about the production of farm-to-table offerings and other products at the hotel. Horseback riding, trekking, yoga and Nordic walking tours are also available for adventure seekers. After a long day, you can choose between pampering yourself with a rejuvenating massage at the spa or enjoying authentic cuisine prepared by the on-site chef and accompanied by fine Tuscan wine. After all, it’s supposed to be a retreat.

Oasyhotel paves the way for eco-luxury and gives teams the opportunity to come together and connect with each other while improving environmental knowledge, supporting conservation and practicing social activism. Although plans for the Dynamo Foundation are due to be finalized by 2023, the opulent Oasyhotel itself now welcomes all to the charming Tuscan countryside for renewal and recreation.
