ORIENTATION – Octavian Droobers launches summer events with free initiation sessions

OCTAVIAN Droobers Orienteering Club is launching a series of summer events, including three free introductory sessions, at locations around Coventry, Warwickshire and surrounding areas.

The first free session will take place on the afternoon of Saturday July 9 at War Memorial Park in Coventry.

It will be a free introduction to the fun outdoor adventure sport for all ages from five to 85.

The short 1.9km trail will be popular with families and the longer 4.5km trail will appeal to runners with instructions to be given by local club members.

In July Orienteers will be hosted at Hartshill Hayes Country Park near Nuneaton, followed by events throughout the summer at Hinckley, Coombe Abbey Park, Rough Close Scout Camp, Warwick University Campus, St. Nicholas Park in Warwick and Burton Dassett Hills.

Locations and more information are available on the club’s website.
