Bull Mountain 9/11 Orienteering Event at Williams Lake

Come compete or learn orienteering




An orienteering event will be held at Bull Mountain on Sunday September 11 near Williams Lake.

There will be three beginner to intermediate point-to-point courses for participants and the courses can be completed on foot or on foot.

Registration and departure will be from noon to 1 p.m.

Newcomers are also welcome to receive free instruction and participants can orient themselves solo or in groups.

To get there, drive north on Highway 97 for 17 miles and turn left onto Bull Mountain Cross Country Road.

Meet on the road just after the Ski Club car park (coordinates -122.1339,52.2418).

Maps will be provided. A compass is recommended, no other special equipment is required. Hiking or running shoes and outdoor clothing or an old tracksuit are fine. A full water bottle is also recommended, especially in hot weather.

Printed instructions and an instructor will be available to help participants before starting a class.
